Hi. My name is Mike and I'm originally from Long Island, NY. Being recently retired from a 30+ year career, I wanted to do something fun that I was passionate about. So I'm making bagels for San Diego. Many bagel shops make bagels as bread intended for sandwiches--big and pillowy. The bagels at Marigold are like the ones I grew up with many years ago, a bit smaller, a bit more chewy, with slightly crisp crusts. It took me over a year to perfect the Marigold recipe using only simple ingredients: wheat flour, barley flour, sugars, salt and yeast. (so they are Vegan!) I'm constantly learning and perfecting my baking techniques, but the one constant feature is that they are only sold on the day they are baked.

Moving to Makers Kitchens, a ghost kitchen located near Imperial Beach.
Once the kitchen is operational, Marigold Bagels customers will have a few options, old and new:
1. Order by Door Dash (or similar delivery service)
2. Preorder on a new, updated website and pick up at local farmers markets as before
3. Purchase without preordering at farmers markets and popups
4. Or, for the adventurous, preorder then pickup yourself directly at the kitchen
